Kate is an unapologetic local government enthusiast. She holds a PhD in Political Science (Local Government) and teaches at Huron University (Governance, Leadership & Ethics) and Western University (Local Government Program). She brings a decade of experience working in local government, and seven years of advisory work with local governments across Canada.

Jesse is a former City of London Deputy Mayor & Ward 4 Councillor. He holds an an MPA and is completing a PhD in Political Science (Local Government). Jesse teaches at Huron University (Management & Organizational Studies and Governance, Leadership & Ethics programs) and Western University (Local Government Program). He is a quantitative researcher with a keen interest in politics, public policy and local institutions in Canada.
Charitability Co-Founder
Matt Ross is an accomplished professional in applied AI and data science, building everything from dashboards to state-of-the-art machine learning models. He is a co-founder of Charitability, the data partner for Local Matters, specializing in developing machine learning models, data analytics, and reporting tools for local governments.
